Sports Paper

Hi friends! How are you after all the holidays? I am better now...I got sick over the New Year holiday...sinus stuff...but I am back to feeling better now...thank God!
I am so excited to share with you a really neat website that I stumbled upon a few months back. As most of you know my girls are golfers and it is so difficult to find golf stuff anywhere, let alone fun girl golf stuff. If a store carries it unfortunately it is the same stuff at practically every store. So in my frustration I decided to look online and see what I could find. I was so excited to find Scrappin' Stuff! They carry a large variety of different sports papers and embellys...some sports you wouldn't even think of...but I was really excited when I found all this golf paper. Sports tend to be their main gig but they have all kinds of other school related stuff too like choir, band and lots of other stuff too...check this out!

And this is the one that I am so excited about! PINK GOLF PAPER! CHECK IT OUT! ***WOOT WOOT***

And how great is this? It coordinates with the pink!

And embellys to match! How exciting is that?

Well, thanks "fore" peekin' in today! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Happy New Year!

Meeting my Grandparents

Hi everyone! Are you so happy that this work week is over and another weekend is here? I sure am! I am looking forward to spending some time with my kiddos!

This is one of the layouts from the day Angelina was born. I wanted to make just one page with the grandparents. I chose paper from the Basic Grey line called Oh Baby Girl. This line is a few years old but there are a few online stores that you can still find it available at. I got the layout idea from this month's issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine. What is funny is after you start looking at things outside the box you can make a scrapbook page layout from just about anything that you see. It doesn't have to be a scrapbook magazine you can just see how they lay an ad out in any magazine to pick up ideas. The trick I found is just to keep yourself fresh. If there is a few weeks between my scrapbooking then I sit there for what seems like forever trying to come up with the perfect layout. But lately I have been trying to scrapbook at least one page a week and that at least keeps my creative juices flowing.
Ok...back to the ingredients for my page...the lime green strips of paper were left over from another project and are not from the Basic Grey line....and actually I can't remember what line they came from. In the upper right corner I used silver metal arrows and brads, from Hobby Lobby, to add a little something different to zing this page up. The purple flower is from Bazzil, the white center and pink flower are both Heidi Swapp.

The title "Meeting my Grandparents" are the letters that came with the Basic Grey paper kit. After I got the letters situated where I wanted them I traced around them with a brown marker to make them pop out on the page a bit. I got this idea from the Embellish Online blog. Check them out here, they have a great blog and a fabulous online store too. Thanks for the idea ladies!

Let me introduce you to miracle in a bottle also known a Un-du. Sort of embarrassing to admit but when I put this page together I was a little tired and I put some of my journaling strips on in the wrong order...now come on there have to be some of you that has done that too right? Well thanks to this great little product I was able to safely remove the adhesive without tearing the paper and reposition my journaling strips! Who ever created this product was a genius! Here is a close up of Un-du if you don't know what it looks like. It is really a handy item to have in your scrapbook room. You just never know when you might need it!

Well thanks for peekin' in on me today. Hope everyone is well at your house! Take care! Hugs ~Toni

Storage Bin

Hi everyone! How are you this Fab Friday? I am getting some things together to scrapbook with a friend all day tomorrow! Hopefully I will get done what I plan on. I am deciding to take way less then I did the last time we scrapbooked together. Plus the last time we scrapped together I had worked all day and I was tired. This time we are starting in the morning on a Saturday so hopefully I can get my mojo running faster and won't burn out as quick!

I thought I would share my new craft organizer with you. I found this on the JoAnn's web site. I had purchased a really cute girly album for Angelina and the brand was Sandylion. I really liked it so I didn't want to look for another one but my problem was that Michael's didn't carry that brand of page refills and nothing they had would fit that album. So I decided to go to JoAnn's online and look around. I found the page refills...on sale...and this cool storage bin...BONUS!!! So here I will show you what it is all about. Seriously, anyone who has come over to scrap knows that I just can't keep a clean scrap room and everything is usually in piles here or there so I thought this storage bin would be great to help get me more organized!

So this is the bin empty. There are pockets around the outside and it was very easy to assemble.

See the lid flips open and the inside is HUGE! There are pockets on both sides that are just as deep as the outside pockets.

This is a bird's eye view of the inside empty...just give me a minute...I'll filler up!

Check it out!!! I haven't even finished loading it yet and there is still plenty of room!
And here is the outside view. There is a little shelf on the bottom that I put a little canvas tote full of other items.
Well thanks for peekin' in tonight! Have a great weekend!

Rub On Product Review

Hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend after Christmas. I cleaned my scrapbook room last night. Man it feels so good to get everything dusted and clear the cobwebs out! I even had a chance to pull out a few page layouts I set aside months ago. I am working on the finishing touches on them and will share them with you later. But first I thought I would share another product review with you. I purchased these rubons at a store here in town and I just loved the whimsical look of them...BEWARE they are quite possibly the worst rubons I have EVER used. I couldn't get the design to rub off on my page! That is so frustrating! So anyway I thought I would save you the money, don't buy these Sandylion rubons.

If I don't post again before New Year's Eve be safe and have a wonderful holiday!

Happy New Year!

Fiskars Adhesive Dots

Introducing Toni's product reviews. I think we should tell each other when we purchase a new product and if it is a good purchase or not. So here we go! I was shopping at Walmart the other day and thought I would browse through their scrapbooking section. I found some gluedots by Fiskars brand. I have used their double sided square adhesive tabs and have been happy with them so I thought I would give their glue dots a try. I am very disappointed with this product. They are so super sticky that they don't want to come off of the roll. They ended up tearing some of my flowers and chipboard items. On a scale of 1-10 (1 being the worst and 10 being the best) I give this product a 1!

Well thanks for tuning in tonight. I have been working away on stuff for the craft fair...it is a week from this Thursday. I am not stressing myself out about it like I usually do though. What I get done I get done. I have a really bad habit of over buying...anyone else have this problem? Well this year, since I don't work at SBG anymore I haven't been tempted to "over buy". I looked around my scrapbook room and found a lot of things that I had purchased in the past for craft fairs and didn't get around to making. So I have been a very good girl. It is a good feeling to use up some of this stuff too.

Hope you all have had a great weekend! Talk to you soon!
