Super Mom

Hi friends! Can you believe how fast the month of April is flying by? Mother's Day is just around the corner so I thought I would take the opportunity to tell my co-workers that I was selling cards for this wonderful day. I work with a lot of men so I took advantage that...most men are looking at the last minute for a card so I simply told them hey fellas, do you want to earn some brownie points with the wife? Let me make a beautiful Mother's Day card for you and you can tell her that you had it handmade for her." How special is that? Well let me tell you...there must be a lot of guys that need to earn brownie points because I have 45 orders for cards! Yes I am completely serious! Isn't that great! I am so excited and the best part is I got this great idea in plenty of time to make the cards and not stress out about it! In fact here is one of my cards. I have had this beautiful little Bella stamp for a few years and I have mainly used it for birthday cards but as I was sitting here one day thinking of card designs I remembers this little lady and thought it would make a great Mother's Day card. I am so proud of my coloring job. She was colored with Copic markers and I outlined her boots, outfit and cape with a white gel pen...doesn't that add a great little touch? I used a grey color for just a slight hint of color where she's standing. If you click on the image you can see the detail a bit better.

Thanks for peekin' in today! I love to hear from you! Hope you can get out and enjoy some of this beautiful weather!

Anniversary

Hi friends! Happy St. Patrick's Day!  I thought I would get in the "green mood" and switch up my blog a little bit.  Pretty fun for March huh?  It has been a while since I have blogged! Life has been so hectic lately...I am sure you know the feeling right? My DH's (dear husband) daughter was in town with our little granddaughter a few weeks ago and we celebrated our daughter's birthday. I still have a little tweaking to do to the photos and I will share them with you. Cake turned out great and we had such a good evening!

Here is a card that I made for a co-worker. It was her wedding anniversary and she wanted to give her husband a special card. I thought this sweet little Bella Stamp was perfect. I paper pieced her dress...I just love this technique! I used the Stampin Up ticket punch to punch out the corners and then added dew drops to each corner to bling it up a little.

Hope you are enjoying the weekend. I have a friend coming over today to scrapbook...I am so excited! Wish me luck that I get a bunch of pages done. Still working on the girls school scrapbooks...hopefully I can make some headway! Thanks for peekin' in!

Good Luck Candy

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a little goody that I made for Haley's locker buddy on her golf team. On every game day they give each other a little treat or note of encouragement and I thought since I had this saaweet little Bella Golfer Girl I would make a wrapper to go around the candy bar. The stamp is from Stamping Bella, you can check them out here, I colored this trendy little gal in with Twinkling H2O's for the shirt, hat and socks. For the shorts I used a Mocha Light PrismaColor marker. For the hair, grass and golf club I used water colored pencils. I had to add a little bit of bling so I used stickles on the ponytail holder and golf ball. Pretty sassy golfer huh? Haley said that Lakin thought it was pretty cute!

Well, thanks for peekin' in. Hope that your week goes by quick! I am looking forward to this weekend. We are going to the Homecoming game on Friday night...and you know what that means about Saturday right? Yep...Homecoming dance! Very exciting around our house. I will share pics with you later this weekend! Take care!

U did it!

Happy Friday to you! We have had some interesting weather here this evening....thunderstorms and a few tornadoes! Hopefully that is all past us now through. The kids were supposed to have a dinner/program out at the school this evening but with everything developing so quickly out by the school I opted to stay home instead. They were okay with it...I think they had a long day today and were glad to be home anyway.

Like my cards? This is one of my newest Bella stamps. I got her to make these cute little cards for some friends of mine at work. I have had my eye on her for over a year now and finally decided that I really wanted to add her to my collection! Both of my friends graduated from WSU either this weekend or last so I made the cards using the WSU colors. On the card below I used my new Martha Stewart border punch. Like it? I picked it up at Walmart for $13!

Now on this card...I used the Cuddlebug and the swirly embossing folder to make that pretty design to the right of Bella. I put the card together and decided that it needed a bit more definition so I used charcoal chalk ink and inked up the embossed swirls. The gingham ribbon on both cards is from SU. The yellow used on the Bella stamps (as well as the colored spots they are standing on) are done with Prisma markers and the gowns are colored using a black colored pencil and blender pen.

Thanks for peekin' in! Hope you guys have a great weekend! We are gearing up for a busy week here. My oldest is graduating from 8th grade on Tuesday evening! I can't believe my baby is so grown up!

Mother's Day

Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's day...I sure did! My step daughter is preggers with her first little bambino and due June 24th so I thought I would make her a Mother's Day card. She cracks me up because she looks a lot like this card right now...she just has a little basketball right in front...from behind she doesn't even look pregnant!

This is a Bella Stamp called Teddybella and I colored her using Prisma alcohol markers. I opted for the Prisma versus the Copic markers because the Copics are so darn expensive! I am not sure what brand the patterned paper is because it is scraps from another project and the ribbon is from Walmart! The little flowers are from Prisma and the brads are Making Memories.

Sorry I have been MIA for a while...May is just one of those busy months...you know how it goes! Thanks for peekin' in on me. Hope you are having a great week!

Funnest Birthday

My sister needed a card for a friend of hers and this is what I came up with. I have used this cherry paper before. It is amazing how far your scraps can go when you just need a small square! If you click on the photo you can get a close up view of the cake, I used a little bit of stickles on the green icing...just wanted to add a little bit of bling.
In other news I am still thinking about my friends at Scrapbook Garden East. I know this is a difficult time for you and I wish I could make everything better for you but just know that I am thinking of you and any time you need a margarita...I am here for ya baby! Sarah I am so proud of you for being your spunky little self today!
Thanks for peekin' in...hope you have a great weekend!

Hot Mama!

Check this hottie out! It was love at first sight when I saw this motorcycle mama and I couldn't wait to get her inked up! I used Prismacolor markers to color her and I dug through my scrap paper stash to accent the card. Thanks for peekin' in. Talk to you soon friend!

under the weather?

Hey girls...I know it has been a while since my last post. Sometimes life just gets in the way of my stamp/scrappin fun! No seriously the kids are back in school and it has been hectic...homework, ball games, dinner, bedtime...not always in that order! Anywho...I tip toed downstairs this evening to make this little creation! Isn't she cheery? I would feel better if I got this from someone wouldn't you? This is one of the fabulous Bella girls. I recently purchased some new markers. I was thinking about purchasing Copics but I just can't afford them right now so after some research I decided to purchase Prismacolor markers. They are alcohol markers also but the deciding factor for me was that they were half the price of the Copics. So anyway I used them to color this image. I used real red and gable green SU card stock and the patterned paper is from Scrapbook Garden...I can't remember the company though! The sentiment is one I purchased from Amuse Art Stamps...love those girls...they are based out of Seattle...where our oldest lives...*sniff*. I thought it would be fun to add a little bit of glitter to her Kleenex box and water thingy on her head (yeah that's right I don't know what the appropriate name is for that thingy on her head) LOL!

I will have more of these little gals heading your way this week. I picked out 6 that are just screaming for some ink! Hope you are having a good week!

Bike A Bella

Here is a pretty little gal that I colored up tonight. I just got this lovely a few weeks ago and thought she needed some ink. The cherry paper was a scrap paper from another project last year...see girls I am trying to be good and use up my scraps! I didn't do anything fancy color wise with her. I used water color pencils and instead of a blender pen I used odorless mineral spirits to blend my colors. I really like that better than the blender pens. I put a small dot of stickles in the center of the flowers on her shirt and the bow in the doggie's hair to bling her up a bit. Hope you are all having a good week. I plan on getting some scrappin' done this long holiday weekend! Can you believe it is already Labor Day? Me neither! Talk to you soon!

Bella Latte

This is one of my newest Bella Girls...Java Bella (thanks to an order Ms. Nikki placed a while ago *wink*). I used a few new tools on this little gal. First of all I colored her using Twinkling H20's, that is what is in those little pots next to the card. They are so much fun to play with! Mary and Nikki got me stuck on these fun little coloring tools (thanks for enabling me girls!). The little pillow on the chair she is sitting on is lime green flocking by doodlebug. You can't tell from this picture but it is fuzzy to the touch. Very cool! This stuff comes in all kinds of colors and it totally rocks! Now the scalloped circles were done using Nestablities. I just got these yesterday at Scrappin Time in Derby. I couldn't wait to use them! They are so much fun.
Yesterday Sidney and I had so much fun. We went to the movie Kit Kittredge. If you haven't seen this with your little girls you should go. If you missed it in your area it is definitely a must rent! We laughed and cried and laughed some more! Good flick! Then like the girls that we are we headed to a scrapbook store in Derby. I don't get over that way much because it is so far from my house. She had some fun different things that I didn't see at my usual scrap hang outs so it was really worth the drive.
Well chicks...check in with me later...I have some fun pics to post!

The Pink Stampers Challenge

The Pink Stamper has a challenge on her blog that I thought would be fun. She had this great idea to use up your scrap paper to make a card. Well here it is. All but the base of the card are scrap pieces of paper. And the stamp is one of my newest little bella girls. I got it because my girls play golf and I thought it would be fun to use as an accent piece in some of their golf scrapbook pages as well as for cards. The inside is stamped with a saying that goes "Hope you have a Happy Birdie" cute huh? I have a huge box that is full of patterned paper scraps just waiting for the day when I will make a card with them. I really try to look there first before I cut up a new sheet if possible. Sometimes that is so dang hard though because there is so much "rad" paper out there!
Funny, last night I was watching the last episode of the Batchlorette and the guy she picked (and I was not happy with her choice LOL!) kept saying that's so RAD man! I just laughed...I haven't heard that word in so long. Reminds me of high school! I am such a nerd.
Ok sorry about that side bar! Hope your havein' a great week thus far...keep smilin'!

Hey Baby!

Ok chickies, I have had this sweet little bella stamp for a year or so and haven't had the need to use it until this past weekend. Mike's family was hosting a baby shower for one of the cousins and I thought HELLO! I can finally use this stamp! I give all the credit of this layout to Whimsey because I totally scrapjacked this idea from her, check out her blog here, she is so talented! I tweaked up the colors and used the swiss dot embossing folder on the yellow cardstock. Thanks for producing such great inspirations girly!

Keep us in your thoughts tomorrow...Mike has his treadmill test. Hopefully it will show that his heart is doing great! We might be able to get off of some of this yucky medicine too! Thanks for stoppin' in tonight!

We celebrated our 7th anniversary Sunday June 1st. Let me tell you we were both reminiscing about everything we went through in April and the fact that we almost didn't have one to celebrate. Thank God things happened the way that they did! This was the card that I made for Mike. I bought this sweet little Bella stamp several months back with the intention of making our anniversary card. I just love Bella stamps they are so much fun...in fact I think there are a few new ones I need to check out! Thanks for sneakin' by...I have to get a back to watching the Bachelorette...I know, I know...what am I thinking? Have a good night!

Bella Girls

I can't stand it! I just love these Bella girls! Two gals in my office have their birthday's within a week of each other so I made these cards up for them. I just love to personalized them by trying to make the hair color like the person I am making the card for. The colors were just perfect! Thanks for checking in on me! I am going to be a busy little bee this weekend trying to finish up orders for customers so check back tomorrow. There are a few things I am so excited to share! TGIF!!!

Hi Girlfriend

One of my good friends is going through a challenging time right now and I thought I would make her a card to cheer her up a little bit. This is the newest to my Bella girls...Huggybellas. I thought they were so fun! I added a few dots of stickles for some added "bling" (got this idea from my pal Michelle) **wink wink**. Thanks for peeking in...talk to you soon. Toni

Birthday Bella

I made a birthday bella last night and forgot to take a picture of her to post, however when I got to work this morning one of my co-workers liked it so well she ordered one for her sister's bday. I decided I hadn't used my Coluzzle for a while so I broke that out to do the ovals. I love the look of the embossing folders from Cuttlebug so I thought I would give that a whirl. Not too bad! I am really getting into these little bella gals! I was checking out the bella site and saw she has a few new girls in town. I just may have to check them out. Have a great evening and a happy FRIDAY tomorrow! Toni

Bella Birthday Card

Hey everyone,

I was so excited about this card! This was not my first Bella but it is the first one I have managed to take a picture of. This card is for one of our cousins that just had a birthday. I had the 4th of July paper and I thought what the heck it's an early July birthday...let's use it! So there you have it! Thanks for peeking in. Hope you are having a great weekend! Toni
