Bobunny Valentine

Tuesday night I taught a Bobunny Valentine class. LOVE this line of paper! They always come out with such cute stuff. Here are a few samples of stuff we did. I couldn't get the right lighting on my cards so the photos look a little yellow but anyhow...the first card was so easy and fun to make. It is all one piece and the hearts are cut so that there is half on one side and half on the other. Cut a few slits into the hearts so they will slide together and bam...the easiest but coolest valentine card! The last photo is of a bag that we did. The fun part about this bag is the topper. It is a 6x8 piece of CS folded in half with a slit in the fold so that you can put the handles of the bag through. The heart is glued onto the topper. Throw in a few words and some ribbon and bam...cool inexpensive bag for your valentine!
Thanks for stopping in...talk to you tomorrow!

New Cards

I have been a bad blogger lately! We have so many things going on and I have had a few creative deadlines so I have not been able to post as often as I have wanted.
The other day I got some new stamps from Inky Antics (you should check them out...they have some fun stuff) and was playing around a bit. The first card is one that I made for a friend of mine. I just love the verse...those shoes make you look so skinny...Whimsey (check her blog out...she is so creative!) used this stamp on one one her cards she posted a while back and I just loved it. The inspiration for the other two cards came from some left over K & Company tags that I had and wanted to use up. I used my cuttlebug to emboss the teal card. The brown card was made with a few of the stamps from Stampin Up set Priceless.
I taught a valentine class last night at Scrapbook Garden and am still wiped out from that but I will post some of the projects from that class tomorrow.

Basic Grey Valentines

I just finished up these cards for a class that I will be teaching at Scrapbook Garden. This is the new Basic Grey line called Two Scoops. These cards were so easy to make and I think my class will enjoy them. They had some Valentine rub on's that you could use on each card, but I only used them on a few because I think this would be cool paper to use for other occasions also. Hey, do you remember that Bobunny Family book I did for my brother in-laws families for Christmas? Well Bobunny has another word book that spells out BABY...wouldn't this paper look cute on that? I am off to make some cards again...we are celebrating my mother in-law and sister in-laws birthday's today so I am going to make them a stack of different occasion cards for them to use through out the year. Thanks for peeking in! Hope your having a good weekend!

Valentine Layout

We always do a special family dinner on Valentines day. I put a fun table cloth out on the table and we order heart shaped pizza and the girls drink their soda from wine glasses. Then we play a game. It is a good time. When Thomas and Whitney lived here they would come over and get in on the fun too. I miss them being so close. Any how...I used Bazzil cardstock for the base of the lay out and Daisy D rub on's. The picture of the girls at the top of the second layout isn't as clear because I have a transparency over it that has that fun doodling over the edges. I was pretty happy with this layout. This was 2005 so I am gaining some ground now!

The weather is yucky out today. I am off and the kids are out of school for Martin Luther King day so I thought I would take the kids to lunch...the temp dropped while we ate and the roads were a bit slippery on the way home! I know it is only January but I am so ready for spring!

Scrappin Freak

Ok...I am on a roll now...here are some finished pages! The first page is of our Godson's baptism (I got to use Nikki's cool new cricut tool that welds your words together), second one is Whitney and Sidney carving pumpkins. And for those of you that don't know, the girls play golf every summer. I know nothing about golf but Mike says they are both very good. Haley trophied the first year she played and Sidney trophied last year. Pretty cool huh? Well I just wanted to share with you of my productivity! I am still working on stuff so check back in. I am going to go out on the web and check in to purchasing some nestabilities. I really want some!

Playin' Catch Up

These pics are from when we took a trip to visit my Aunt & Uncle in Colorado. We went to the Garden of the Gods. You can't take a bad picture there! When ever I go places like this it reminds me how awesome God is.

The lettering is made using the Jasmine cartridge and the Cricut. The paper is the fall line from Basic Grey...love that stuff! I started this layout a couple of weeks ago and have been working on it piece by piece off and on. Sheesh! And did you check out the year??? 2004! I am so far behind. I am bound and determined that I am going to catchup though. That was one of my many new years resolutions. So tomorrow night I am going to crop at my friend Nikki's house and I am going to get some scrappin done! Here is my plan. I have this whole stack of stuff that I want to get done but I am only going to take what I think I can realistically get done that night. Then I won't be setting myself up for any disappointments. Good plan? We shall see. I will let you know Saturday how things go. I hope you have a great Friday!

Sidney's Layout

I upgraded the girls scrapbook space a few weeks ago. My friend Nikki was looking to get rid of a 6ft table she had and so I took it off her hands. :) The girls got right down to business organizing everything and scrapbooked that night. Check this out...Sidney did this page...pretty good for 9 yrs old don't you think.

Cutie Patootie

Here is a picture of our Godson from Christmas. I just love his cheesy little grin! We got him a pillow and blanket that match and they have all kinds of trucks and stuff on it. He loved it! What a cutie patootie!

She's Growing Up!

Over Christmas break Haley did some baking. I was working on a project and I asked her if she wanted to bake some cookies. I really didn't expect her to do everything all by herself but before I knew it she brought me a cookie! They were very yummy! She didn't ask for any help or anything! And check out how she arranged them on the plate...is she Betty C or what? I am proud and sad all at the same time. Proud that she has learned enough from me that she can do this on her own but sad because before I know it she will be all grown up! Aww well...it's a good thing!

Hey...one of my girlfriends told me that Walgreens has their one hour photos on sale for .10! The coupon code it JOY...so I am off to upload some photos!

Coaster Valentine

Here is a little something I have been working on this week. I want to do this for a lunch and learn at the bank. What the heck is lunch and learn right? Well at the bank I work for occasionally we have a lunch hour where you bring your sack lunch and attend a "learning session" over your break. There have been various different companies come in from gardening places to flower shops. Some do an activity and some just provide helpful information. I taught a scrapbook class last year and had a great turn out so I thought I would do another one. This project is something I think, with a little preparation on my side, we could complete in an hour. This is made from coasters a friend of mine picked up for me at the dollar store. 6 come in a package for $1!! All of my embellishments are from the Stampin Up set "Loving Hearts". Pretty cool huh? I thought it would be something nice to set out on my desk for Valentines Day...or at least until I get the class done. I actually think I will either give it to my parents or my sister.

Haley had a ton of homework tonight, so I sat down here by the computer while she did some research and I worked on this project. Sidney wanted to scrapbook too so she did a couple of pages. I am floored at what she put together...and with just a bit of help from me. I will post that tomorrow....guess you'll have to check back in soon! Thanks for peeking in...have a great Friday tomorrow!

My New Toy

Scotch ATG tape gun...I have been looking at this for a while now and I wasn't really sure about them at first. I used them in a class I taught and really liked them. I make a lot of little chipboard books and this little tape gun is the best to assemble quickly. It sure beats using that double sided sticky tape! I picked it up at Scrapbook Garden....it was kinda pricey but worth it! Check em out!
