Cutie Patooties

Hey chickies! I have been working on cleaning up my scrapbook room but it seems messier than when I started! Has that ever happened to you? I am trying to get in gear for my Yoder crop. I want to have everything organized and know exactly what I am going to do so I am going through my photos and putting paper with them and so I have created quite the mess. I can't see my desk!!!

Yesterday my sister asked me and the girls to go to a movie so we did that and then afterwards headed downtown to take some fun pics of the girls. We decided to go to Bum Park...there is some great backgrounds there and there were only a few bums...LOL! When we got to the park there was a wedding party having their pictures taken too. Needless to say we had a blast and my sis is an awesome photographer so here are a few pics of our day.

Got some news on Mike. After the treadmill test they noticed a spot of slow blood flow in the lower arterial. What does that mean? Well we need to go back in for another heart cath so the doc can go in and see what the deal is. They are not worried about his blood clotting because he is on 2 different blood thinners so this is good. They said that it might be nothing to worry about but they want to make sure and the only way they can do that is by going inside and taking a look around. So we are keeping our chin up and praising God that we have a great cardiologist. We are scheduled to go in for this procedure on July 17th. I will keep you posted as we go. Heartfelt

Hey gals it's been a few days since I updated my blog. I have had quite a bit going on now that summer is here. Taking the kids here and there. Doesn't seem like there is enough time in the day let alone enough time to get down to my scrapbook room...which needs some attention big time! Here is a little card that I made for one of my mother's sisters. She found out not too long ago that she has Celiac Disease. The only think that I know about it is that you can not eat things with gluten in them...which is pretty much everything. Any how I have been a frequent shopper of about all the health food stores in town because of Mike's new diet and I found a lemon poppy seed gluten free muffin mix and some snack crackers so I thought I would send her a little "I'm thinking of you" package. You don't realize what a headache shopping for food can be until you can't eat a lot of things. So any way I am going to pop this card and goodies in the mail to her tomorrow. I hope they are good!

Here's an exciting piece of news! There is a SAWEET little house in Yoder Kansas that is a scrapbook retreat house and some friends and I are going to go for the day next month to crop. Don't you think that would be a blast!!! I am really looking forward to it. It is pretty inexpensive...$35 for a 13 hour crop and that includes 2 meals, snacks and drinks. And one of the best parts is the food...all made by the Amish folks...can you say yum-o? I will keep you posted as we get closer to this extremely fun day!

Hey Grad!

Here is a little graduation book I made for Mike's godson. This is another one of those Bobunny books the book spelled out GRADE so I dropped the E and made it Grad. I used his school colors for the book. The photos are the ones that I took of him for the page layout I posted a few weeks ago. I added some fun graduation embellishments and thought since he plays the guitar it would be fun to add some guitar and music notes to one of the pages. Thanks for peeking in! Sympathy

Wahoo! I checked the mail and guess what?? My new stamp set came today! Woot! This set is from Papertrey and is called Everyday Blessings. There are so many cool verses on this set you wouldn't have to use them for just sympathy cards. I knew what I wanted to do and after I finished I went out to the Papertrey sight just to see what they had done and I kid you not it looks like I totally copied them but I didn't. I knew I wanted to use these plum colors for my cards tonight and it is so funny but the colors and even the ribbon match! Crazy. Any who you should check out Papertrey if you can. These gals are great!
Mike's treadmill test went fine today. He did very well. He said he felt good when he got done. I think the exercise is good for him. Anyway the Doctor is out doing his rounds in the small communities for the rest of the week so the nurse told me that he would be looking over everything this week and maybe even this weekend. So we should know something the first part of next week.

Hey Baby!

Ok chickies, I have had this sweet little bella stamp for a year or so and haven't had the need to use it until this past weekend. Mike's family was hosting a baby shower for one of the cousins and I thought HELLO! I can finally use this stamp! I give all the credit of this layout to Whimsey because I totally scrapjacked this idea from her, check out her blog here, she is so talented! I tweaked up the colors and used the swiss dot embossing folder on the yellow cardstock. Thanks for producing such great inspirations girly!

Keep us in your thoughts tomorrow...Mike has his treadmill test. Hopefully it will show that his heart is doing great! We might be able to get off of some of this yucky medicine too!Thanks for stoppin' in tonight!

My Birthday

7 Wonderful Years!

We celebrated our 7th anniversary Sunday June 1st. Let me tell you we were both reminiscing about everything we went through in April and the fact that we almost didn't have one to celebrate. Thank God things happened the way that they did! This was the card that I made for Mike. I bought this sweet little Bella stamp several months back with the intention of making our anniversary card. I just love Bella stamps they are so much fun...in fact I think there are a few new ones I need to check out!
