School's Out! **Woot Woot**

You heard it right...school's out for the kiddos! Can you believe how fast the school year went? I thought it has gone especially fast after the Christmas break didn't you? Well my oldest daughter came home with some very exciting news, she entered several of her art projects in the art fair and placed on 2 of them. This photo is of a painting she did of Mother Theresa which she placed 2nd! Go Haley! The neat thing was that this wasn't just her school it was 9 other area schools! She has another piece, which I have yet to see that has gone on to regionals, we don't know what the status of that one is yet but it is up against all of the schools in Wichita that are in this particular contest! I always knew she was crafty but I didn't know she had this hidden artistic ability. It is so fun to watch your kids grow up (sometimes...*wink* if you are the mother to a teenage girl you know what I'm talkin' about!) and see what they become. You have this plan for them of what you hope they will be and you guide them along the way and hopefully, God willing, you have done a good enough job that you watch them make good choices. Exciting and scary all at the same time...none the less I am very proud of our kiddos!

Congratulations, creativity always seems to show itself in a lot of ways. I guess scrapping allowed her to start thinking in artistic directions.
