Croppin' Fun!

Hi Everyone! Sorry it has been so long since I have blogged anything! We have been so busy lately and it seems like my little blog is the last thing that I have the opportunity to update! Last night I took my girls over to the PJ crop at Scrapfunattic in Andover we had such a good time! Have you ever been? If not you should check it out. They crop once a month from 5pm to 5am...hence the name "PJ Crop". We didn't stay until 5 am though...we had a long busy day today so we packed up about 11pm. We met one of my scrappin buddies over there that I haven't had the chance to see for a while so it was great! It was so nice to be back in a creative environment again. I miss being around scrapbooking and seeing all of the great ideas that come from everyone. Just sitting in that store looking around gave me so many fun ideas! It makes me want to come home and check things out on line and get my creative juices flowing. I will tell you that is sure isn't as easy as it used to be to pack up your stuff and go somewhere though. I feel like I am moving the whole house when I try to pack up and go somewhere. I guess I just need to get better organized before I go somewhere.
Anyhow, here is one of the page layouts that I did last night. These photos are from 2006! But I am almost done with 2006 so that is a good thing! This was the girls first concert and we had a blast. We made a little girls trip out of it as it was down in Tulsa. We took our good friend Reva, what a good sport she was! The tween music was so loud and kids were everywhere screaming and dancing! But we had a great time.

Now for the page recipe: I thought these photos needed that "grunge" look so I picked out Bobunny Teen Xtreme Line and these papers are called Xtreme Green Grunge. For the lettering I used the cricut and the Alphalicious cartridge.

Now for the most fun trick. Do you like Magic Mesh? Yeah...I do too but it is so expensive. This looks like Magic Mesh doesn't it? Well it's not! It's drywall mesh! HA...I got a huge roll at Walmart for FIVE BUCKS...then to make it the color I wanted I just ran my Real Red Stampin Up ink pad over it and got this nice red color. See behind the vellum? That is just left over black cardstock strips that I cut into random shapes and inked the edges white to give that grunge look also. Pretty fun huh?

Thanks for peekin' in on me. Hope you have a great week!
